Sport brought me into training. Learning the science gave it direction.
Growing up, I was always doing something: football, athletics or tennis. At 15, I started lifting weights. I loved it, but I had very little structure and didn’t really understand what I was doing.
At 17 and 18, I tore my ACL twice within a year. Nearly two years of rehab became a turning point: I wanted to understand how training works and the science behind exercise.
As I began to structure my training, I saw my strength and physique change. That interest led me to study Sports & Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham, then turn what I’d learned into a career helping others.
Today, I coach at Athena Performance, helping people build strength, knowledge and confidence. I keep learning from research and the coaches around me, developing my approach as I go.
I also love holidays, meals out and enjoying life. That balance matters to me, and it’s what I want for my clients: sustainable fat loss and muscle gain without putting life on hold.
